Sunday Morning Coffee Hour Sign-Up

As we are able to gather again for fellowship after services, we are looking for volunteers to make the Sunday morning coffee and set out a small snack of their choice. We invite all our members to be involved in hosting as a faithful steward. This is a way to involve our
newer members, re-involve members who have become less active, and a way to meet other St.
Barnabas members.
If you cannot host on your assigned date please trade with
someone on the list and call the church office (847.639.3959) with the change, so the Sunday
bulletin will be correct.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR Hosting Sunday Morning Coffee Hour

•  Please bring 3 dozen items for snacks. Examples are cookies, donut holes, cheese and
  crackers, veggie platter or a fruit, prepackaged fish crackers/snacks.
• Arrive at 9:00 a.m. to set up, make coffee and hot water, place food and napkins out.
• Coffee – We have easy to follow directions on top of the coffee maker. Each pot requires 1/4C
  scoop (provided in containers) of coffee. Press Brew after placing the correct pot under and
  you are all set.
• Tea – Please fill the hot water pot by placing empty container in the machine and pressing Brew
• Emergency snacks are in the cupboard under the sink. Please use these only if that week’s
  donated items run out.
• Please clean up (at around 11:20). Rinse coffee pots (please leave the tops open so they dry
  out) and put them back on counter. Please wipe off the counters and any tables used. Please
  wash, dry and put away all platters and utensils. Please throw away any garbage. It is
  important to leave the area completely clean to avoid unwanted guests.
• Extra PACKAGED snacks should be placed in a container under the sink.
• You may take your leftover goodies home or leave them in the freezer for next Sunday. If you
  leave them in the freezer, please wrap them tightly.
